How to go live
Sell live to your followers with your own Amazon IVS, YouTube Live, Facebook Live, or Twitch account. Xenpen doesn't charge for streaming; live shows are for selling your listings (no virtual gifts).
The video has a voice guide; the steps below say the same thing.
In the Xenpen app
1. Open Profile, then Go Live
You need to be ID-verified to go live.
2. Choose your platform and save your channel
Pick Amazon IVS, YouTube Live, Facebook Live, or Twitch, paste your channel link (see below for where to find it), and tap Save Channel.
3. Streaming from this phone? Add your server and stream key
They stay on your phone and are never sent to Xenpen. Using OBS, Larix, or an external camera? Leave these empty and put the stream key in that app instead.
4. Name your show and pick what you're selling
Feature up to 12 of your live listings. Buyers check out as usual.
5. Go live
Tap Go Live with This Phone's Camera, or start streaming in your other app and tap Go Live with an External App. Your followers get a notification. Tap End Show when you're done.
Set up your platform
Amazon IVS
In the Amazon IVS console, create a channel (low latency). Copy its Playback URL into Xenpen. The Ingest server and Stream key go into your broadcasting app, or into Xenpen's “Stream from this phone”. AWS bills your account directly.
YouTube Live
In YouTube Studio, choose Go Live → Stream (your channel must be enabled for live streaming; it can take up to 24 hours the first time). In Xenpen, paste your channel link (youtube.com/channel/UC…); it always shows your current live stream. Copy the Stream key into your broadcasting app or into Xenpen's “Stream from this phone” (the server is filled in for you).
Facebook Live
Open Facebook Live Producer and choose Streaming software. Copy the Stream key into your broadcasting app or Xenpen's “Stream from this phone”. Facebook makes a new video for each broadcast, so when you go live, paste that video's link (facebook.com/…/videos/…) in “Live video link for this show”.
Twitch
In your Twitch Creator Dashboard → Settings → Stream, copy your Primary Stream key into your broadcasting app or Xenpen's “Stream from this phone”. In Xenpen, paste your channel link (twitch.tv/yourname).
While you're live
- Viewers double-tap the video to send hearts; more hearts move your show up in Live now. Hearts are free likes, not gifts.
- Chat with buyers. You can remove messages in your own show.
- Follow the Community Guidelines for live shows: show the real item, no children on camera, nothing illegal.
- Never share your stream key. Xenpen will never ask for it.
