Community Guidelines
Xenpen is built on trust. Every member verifies who they are, each person has one account, and every deal keeps a record. These guidelines explain how we treat each other. They’re part of our Terms of Service, and our moderators use them to decide every report.
1. Be real
- One person, one account. Use your own verified identity. Don’t share, sell, rent, or borrow accounts, and don’t create another account after being suspended.
- No impersonation. Don’t pretend to be another person, a business you don’t represent, Xenpen, or Xenpen Support. Xenpen staff never ask for your password, codes, or payment outside the app.
- Honest profile. Your name, username, photo, and bio should be yours and not misleading. A username that is hateful, harassing, sexual, or pretends to be someone else (including Xenpen staff) may be changed by a moderator.
2. List honestly
- Show the full price. Every post shows its real price, rent, rate, or budget. No “PM for price,” no fees added later, and anything marked free is completely free (Terms §4A).
- Describe it accurately. Use your own photos, state the condition and any defects, and keep the listing up to date. Mark it sold when it’s gone.
- Only sell what you may sell. You must own it or be authorized to sell, rent, or list it. No stolen, counterfeit, recalled, or prohibited items (Terms §5).
- No bait, spam, or duplicates. Don’t post the same thing over and over, post fake deals, or use listings to advertise something else.
3. Trade fairly
- Keep your word. Show up when you said you would, ship on time with tracking, and complete deals you agree to. An auction bid is a promise to buy.
- Pay in the app when you can. Xenpen holds in-app payments until you get what you paid for. Never pressure anyone to pay outside the app, with gift cards, wire transfers, or crypto, or before they’ve seen the item or home.
- No shill bidding or fake activity. Don’t bid on your own auctions or your team’s, inflate prices, or use other people to do it.
- Honest reviews only. Review only deals you took part in. Don’t offer anything for a review, threaten bad reviews, or ask someone to change theirs.
4. Respect everyone
- No harassment, threats, or bullying, in messages, listings, reviews, or anywhere else. Stop contacting someone who asks you to.
- No hate or discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, age, familial status, or any other protected characteristic. Housing listings must follow fair housing laws.
- No sexual content. Don’t post or send nudity or sexual content, and never anything involving minors. We report child exploitation to the authorities.
- No violence. Don’t threaten, promote, or glorify violence or self-harm. If someone is in danger, call 911 (in the US and the Philippines).
5. Message responsibly
- Keep it about the deal and the community. No spam, chain messages, or unwanted promotions.
- Photos, videos, voice messages, files, and stickers follow the same rules as everything else. Never send malware or files meant to harm someone’s device, data, or account.
- Share locations carefully. Only share a location you’re comfortable sharing, and meet in busy, public places.
- Deleted messages aren’t gone for safety. Xenpen keeps a private copy of deleted messages for 1 year, seen only by moderators reviewing a report and shared with law enforcement only with valid legal process.
6. Respect privacy
- Don’t share other people’s personal information (addresses, phone numbers, IDs, financial details, or private messages) without their permission.
- Use what you learn in a deal only for that deal. A buyer’s address is for shipping their order, and a home’s address is for the tour.
- No recording without consent where the law requires it, and no hidden cameras in rentals.
7. Homes, rentals, services, and jobs
- Homes: list only homes you own or are authorized to rent or sell, show accurate photos and prices, and never ask for deposits or personal financial details before a tour.
- Tool rentals: rent out only safe, working, recall-free equipment with its instructions, record its condition at pickup and return, and return rentals on time.
- Services: offer licensed work (such as electrical, plumbing, contractor, or real estate) only with a license Xenpen has checked. Give honest quotes and do the work you agreed to.
- Jobs: post real jobs with a real budget, and pay what you agreed.
7A. Live shows
- Live shows are for selling your Xenpen listings. Don't ask for gifts, tips, or payments outside Xenpen.
- Don't use bots or scripts to send hearts.
- Show the real item you're selling, and feature only your own listings.
- No nudity, violence, hate, dangerous stunts, or anything illegal. Don't film people who haven't agreed to it, and never show children.
- Keep chat friendly: no harassment, spam, or asking people to pay outside Xenpen.
- Hosts can remove chat messages; moderators can end a show. Report a show from its menu.
8. Businesses and teams
- An Elite member is responsible for everything their team posts and says on their behalf, and must appoint only people they trust.
- Team members follow these guidelines like everyone else, and may not use a team to get around a suspension, limits, or the rules.
9. Follow the law
Don’t use Xenpen for anything illegal, including fraud, scams, money laundering, selling prohibited items, or evading taxes. We cooperate with law enforcement as described in our Law Enforcement Guidelines, and we preserve records when a crime may have been committed.
10. Reporting and what happens next
- Report anything that breaks these guidelines: touch and hold a message, or use Report on a listing or profile. You can also block anyone. Reports are private; the person isn’t told who reported them.
- We review reports within 24 hours. A listing reported by 3 different members is hidden until a moderator reviews it.
- What we may do, depending on how serious it is and whether it’s happened before: remove the content, warn you, limit features, hold a payment while we review, charge a violation fee where the Terms allow, suspend the account, or close it permanently. Serious harm (scams, threats, exploitation) can lead to immediate permanent removal and a report to the authorities.
- Disagree with a decision? Contact Xenpen Support in the app with the transaction ID or listing; a different moderator reviews appeals.
11. Changes
We update these guidelines as Xenpen grows. We post the new version here with a new date, and tell members in the app about important changes.
